Leadership often means navigating the space between supporting people and meeting workplace responsibilities, and the right next step is not always obvious.
This orientation explores how Washington State EAP can support leaders through consultation, employee referrals, difficult workplace conversations, and critical incidents. Participants will learn when and how to consult with EAP, the difference between informal encouragement and formal referral, how to maintain appropriate leadership boundaries, and how EAP can complement HR, labor relations, safety, and other organizational resources. The session also reminds leaders that EAP is available to support them personally as well as in their leadership role.
